What is the Minimum Amount I Need in my Brokerage Account?

There is no minimum amount required to sign up with Tiblio AI, but if the bot doesn't have enough buying power, then it won't trade. You can even use Tiblio AI for free up to $10,000 in buying power.

The minimum amount of money you need for the bot to trade depends entirely on your portfolio. How you allocate equities. Specifically, the minimum amount of money required to sell 1 put option is enough to cover 100 shares of your chosen stock or ETF. For example, if your chosen stock trades at $10 per share, then the bot would need $1,000 of buying power before it would sell a put contract.

There is no minimum buying power to sell call contracts. If you have 100 shares of stock you can configure the bot to sell covered calls on those shares.

The strategy works much better if it can scale into positions. Therefore it is recommended that you have enough buying power to sell more than 1 option. Say 5-10 allows the algorithm to scale in a couple of contracts per week for a few weeks.

Margin

If you're approved on a margin account to sell naked put contracts, then the minimum amount of capital needed to sell 1 put contract is less than stated above. Check with TD Ameritrade for the exact amount but it generally will be close to 30%, thus in the example above you only need $300 to sell a put contract on a $10 stock.

The bot doesn't take this into account directly. The way you configure the bot to leverage is to configure it with more than 100% buying power. You could give it 130% buying power for example, and it will sell puts up to that amount using the cash secured put calculation.
